Three Stooges

Perhaps the most famous stars of Columbia's prolific short subject films, if not some of the most famous stars in Hollywood period, The Three Stooges made a whopping 190 comedies between 1934 and 1955. One of the most endearing and well known is IN THE SWEET PIE AND PIE, remembered for its all-out pie-throwing scene at the end. Wealthy Tisha, Tasha and Basha Jones marry three death row convicts (Moe, Curly and Larry) so as not to lose their inheritance. But when the Stooges are exonerated, they arrive at the Jones mansion to claim their conjugal rights.
