Director Sam Raimi brings his visionary talents to the  live action film version of the much beloved Marvel comic. Tobey Maguire takes on the title role with humor and a likable charm playing Peter Parker, a young man who changes into a web-spinning super-hero after being bitten by a radioactive spider. Kirsten Dunst is terrific as the object of Peter's affection, who also happens to be dating his best friend George (James Franco). Willem Dafoe is perfectly cast and in fine form in the role of Spider-Man's dark nemesis, the Green Goblin. Spider-Man was the highest grossing film of 2002 and has gone on to become one of the most successful films of all time. With this fun and intelligent blockbuster, Spider-Man has endeared himself to audiences all over the world.
