When his college degree is challenged as a fake, lawyer and schemer Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) is forced to return to school. As he reluctantly becomes the leader of a misfit collection of fellow students, including businessman Pierce Hawthorne (Chevy Chase), Jeff soon realizes that the easy way out is no guarantee for survival in community college.
