Partridge Family, The

One day Shirley Partridge (Shirley Jones) and her five kids are just another suburban family in San Pueblo, California, and the next they are touring the world as the latest thing in rock and roll. When Shirley finds her children, Keith (David Cassidy), Laurie (Susan Dey), Danny (Danny Bonaduce), Chris and Tracy, rehearsing in their garage, they persuade her to round out their band's harmonies. After Danny plays a tape of their new song for fast-talking manager Reuben Kincaid (Dave Madden), the Partridges are an overnight sensation. As they travel near and far in their wildly painted tour bus playing everywhere from Las Vegas showrooms, Hawaiian nightclubs and Paris concert halls to children's hospitals and Federal prisons, Shirley remains committed to giving her kids a normal life even as they grow up in the spotlight.
